Where should I go on SERVE Day & when should I arrive?

If you signed up to serve in a project located in Bear, Newark, Delaware City or Wilmington (north of the canal), we'll be gathering at 8:30 AM at the Bear Campus. For all Middletown projects (south of the canal), we'll be gathering at 8:30 AM Our Daily Bread (214 N. Broad Street) in Middletown. After a short welcome, we will divide into teams based on the different projects & your Team Captain will provide you with further instructions.

What should I bring on SERVE Day?

Plan on bringing any personal items you may need, like your LOCC T-shirt* (see below), sunscreen, drinking water, tennis shoes, a hat, etc., along with any items pertaining to your service project such as work gloves. For projects requiring physical labor, work clothes are a good idea. We recommend not wearing jewelry.

Will I receive an LOCC T-shirt?

If you do not currently have an LOCC t-shirt, please indicate that you need one in the space provided when you sign up. Or email with your name and the t-shirt size needed (small – 2XL). T-shirts will be handed out on Saturday, July 28 at 8:30 AM, prior to start of SERVE Day.

Will the church be communicating additional details about SERVE Day?

After signing up to serve, you will receive an email from our SERVE Team, acknowledging we received your information. In the days and weeks leading up to SERVE Day, you will receive a subsequent email with specific details you need to know related to your project. If, for some reason, you do not receive correspondence from our SERVE Team, please email or call 302-838-0603.

Can I contribute financially to SERVE Day?

Yes! If you would like to make a financial donation toward SERVE Day project costs, place a check in the offering bucket with “SERVE Day” in the memo line, or visit our online giving page.
