R.A.I.S.E. Student Ministries
Our Vision
Our student ministry for teens, grades 6 - 12, exists to help them discover and walk out
the truth of eternal life through Jesus as their personal Savior. To help them develop a
lifelong relationship with Christ, we encourage spiritual growth through mid-week youth
services that include worship, teaching and fellowship, as well as participation in small
groups. We are also passionate about empowering teens to become faith-sharing
disciples through retreats, mission trips and servant evangelism in the local community.

Our Purpose
Our main goal is to encourage and support parents in their role to R.A.I.S.E. youth to
become fully-devoted followers of Christ. We do this in the following ways:
R each the unchurched
A ssociate with the family of God
I nstruct through discipleship
S timulate true worship of God
E quip for ministry
Our meetings are held on Wednesday nights from 7 to 8:30 p.m., in the lower level of the
church, where our Metro Cafe, Youth Auditorium and other classrooms are located.
Each week we start with a corporate time of worship, followed by relevant, Bible
teaching teens can readily apply to their lives. The students then break into small
grade- and gender-specific groups to share their thoughts from the day's teaching. As
they interact together, friendships are formed, their faith is built up and they draw
strength from one another to live for God.

Our Student Leadership Team consists of a group of teens striving for excellence in all
areas of their lives -- spiritually, intellectually, physically and socially. Some youth think
they have to be overly spiritual to become a leader, but that's not true. All they need is
to have made a decision to follow Christ and have a heart attitude that strives to love
God and others as, Luke 10:27 says:
"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all
your strength and with all your mind'; and 'love your neighbor as yourself.'"
When they do this, they will naturally grow and be transformed, and those spiritual gifts
God has given us will be used to impact the world for Christ.
Students who feel led to join the Student Leadership Team and are willing to make a
commitment to serve, can do so in the following areas:
Media
Prayer Team
Cafe
Events
Greeting & Follow Up
Worship
